Advertisement for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) & Project Assistant Positions
Applications are invited for the following assignment in a purely time-bound research project undertaken in the Department of Biochemistry, School of Life Sciences of the University.

Title of the Research Project:
Genomics assisted improvement of scented rice from Assam (Joha) and Manipur for yield enhancement under stress and improved nutrition

Tenure of Assignment:
03 Years / 01 Year (extendable for another year based on performance)
Consolidated Monthly Fellowship:
- JRF: Rs. 37,000 + 9% HRA
- Project Assistant (PA): Rs. 20,000 + 9% HRA
Essential Qualifications:
M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Botany, and any branch of life science with ≥ 55% or equivalent CGPA with a good academic record from a recognized university/institute as per UGC norms. For JRF, the candidate should have qualified NET/GATE/other national level examination conducted by a central agency like CSIR and DBT.
Age Limit & Relaxation:
Not exceeding 28 Years for JRF/PA. Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates and up to 3 years for OBC candidates (with valid Original Caste Certificate).
Desirable Qualifications:
Candidates with knowledge and experience in biochemistry, plant molecular biology, and plant tissue culture may be preferred.
