Job Overview & Detailed Vacancies

ICAR-IIOR has officially released a notification inviting eligible candidates for a Walk-In-Interview for temporary, contractual, and short-term positions under the CSS scheme – National Mission on High Yielding Seeds (NMHYS).

  • 1. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) – Sunflower Project (NMHYS):
    • No. of Positions: 02 (Two)
    • Date of Interview: August 11, 2026
    • Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. (Agriculture) with specialization in Genetic and Plant Breeding / Seed Science & Technology / Agronomy / Biotechnology with a four-year Bachelor’s degree.
    • Desirable Qualifications: Experience in crop raising, maintenance, and seed production; molecular work (PCR, Gel electrophoresis, cloning); working knowledge of computers and data analysis; proficiency in Telugu, Hindi, and English.
    • Emoluments: ₹37,000/- + HRA per month consolidated.
  • 2. Young Professional-I (YP-I) – Sunflower Project (NMHYS):
    • No. of Positions: 01 (One)
    • Date of Interview: August 11, 2026
    • Essential Qualifications: B.Sc. in Agriculture or Diploma in Agriculture (10+2+3).
    • Desirable Qualifications: Experience in crop raising and maintenance; basic computer knowledge (MS Office); proficiency in Telugu, Hindi, and English.
    • Emoluments: ₹30,000/- per month consolidated (No HRA paid).
  • 3. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) – Sesame Project (NMHYS):
    • No. of Positions: 02 (Two)
    • Date of Interview: August 18, 2026
    • Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. (Agriculture) with specialization in Genetic and Plant Breeding / Seed Science & Technology / Agronomy / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Food and Nutrition with a four-year Bachelor’s degree.
    • Desirable Qualifications: Experience in crop raising and maintenance/analytical tasks; molecular work (PCR, Gel electrophoresis, cloning, GCLC, HPLC, FT-IR); working knowledge of computers.
    • Emoluments: ₹37,000/- + HRA per month consolidated.
  • 4. Young Professional-I (YP-I) – Sesame Project (NMHYS):
    • No. of Positions: 01 (One)
    • Date of Interview: August 18, 2026
    • Essential Qualifications: Any Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in crop raising and maintenance.
    • Desirable Qualifications: Basic computer knowledge (MS Office); fluency in Telugu, Hindi, and English.
    • Emoluments: ₹30,000/- per month consolidated (No HRA paid).

Age Limit & Relaxations (As on Date of Interview)

  • Young Professional-I (YP-I): Minimum 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxations as per rules.
  • Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women.

Walk-In-Interview Guidelines & Reporting Instructions

  • Reporting Time: Candidates must report strictly between **9:30 A.M. and 10:30 A.M.** on the respective interview dates (11.08.2026 for Sunflower projects / 18.08.2026 for Sesame projects) for certificate verification. Candidates reporting after 10:30 A.M. will not be entertained.
  • Selection Process: Interviews are conducted only if at least five applicants appear. If reporting candidates exceed twenty (20), a written screening test will be conducted, and shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews on the same day.
  • Documents Required: Bring all original educational/caste certificates, a set of attested photocopies, a passport-size photograph, and a duly filled Application Form.
  • No TA/DA: No travel or stay allowances will be provided for appearing in the walk-in interview.
  • Venue & Initial Posting: ICAR-Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research (ICAR-IIOR), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500030, Telangana. Initial engagement runs until March 31, 2027, or co-terminus with the project.
