Project Details and Overview
The Department of Electrical Engineering at VNIT Nagpur has officially invited applications from highly motivated, dedicated, and qualified candidates for temporary research positions. The selected candidate will work on a cutting-edge research initiative funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) focused on developing a Smart Hydrogen Energy Recovery System. The project encompasses the design and control of power electronic converters for integrating renewable energy systems with grid support and hydrogen production, alongside modeling and simulation of photovoltaic systems and electrolyzer technologies. This offers an ideal stepping stone for candidates pursuing advanced research careers or doctoral studies, with provisions to register for a regular Ph.D. program provided they meet VNIT Nagpur’s criteria.
Eligibility Criteria & Essential Qualifications
- Educational Background: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Instrumentation Engineering with First Class (minimum 60%). Additionally, an M.E./M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or allied areas with First Class (minimum 60%) is required.
- National Level Examinations: Candidates must have qualified in GATE in any year, irrespective of current validity.
- Desirable Skills: Strong background in power systems, renewable energy integration, simulation software (such as MATLAB/Simulink), hardware prototyping, and technical report writing.
Fellowship and Emoluments
- Monthly Stipend: The emoluments for the position are Rs. 37,000 per month for the initial two years and Rs. 42,000 per month for the third year, consolidated.
- Additional Benefits: Contingency grants and applicable allowances will be extended as sanctioned by the funding agency guidelines.
