About the Research Project

Title of Project: Optical Tracing and Inhibition of Metastatic Tumor with Metal Quantum Clusters

Principal Investigator: Dr. Asifkhan Shanavas, Scientist-E

Funding Agency: Department of Biotechnology (DBT)

Project Duration: Up to the end of project tenure i.e., 08.01.2027 (Purely temporary and co-terminus with the project)

Vacancy & Financial Details

  • Position Available: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 01 Post
  • Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- (pm) + HRA (as applicable)

Essential Qualifications

  • M.Sc. in Chemical sciences / Life sciences OR M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical chemistry / Natural Products OR M.Tech in Biotechnology / Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
  • Additionally, candidates should have qualified one of the following:
    • (A) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
    • (B) Selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies/Institutions (DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.).

Desirable Experience & Age Limit

Desirable Experience: Prior working experience EITHER in synthetic chemistry OR experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques.

Age Limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 17.08.2026 (relaxable for certain reserved categories as per Government of India rules).
