Application Fee Details
- UR/OBC/EWS Category: ₹500/- for Assistant Professor.
- SC, ST, PwBD & Women Applicants: Nil (No application fee).

Essential Qualifications & Eligibility
For Assistant Professor:
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale) in a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or possess a Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution within top 500 in world university ranking (QS, Times Higher Education, or ARWU).
For Director of Physical Education (DPE):
- A Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports or Physical Education or Sports Science with 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
- Record of having represented the University/College at inter-university/inter-collegiate competitions or State and/or national championships.
- Passed the physical fitness test or qualified as an Asian Game/Commonwealth Games medal winner.
- Must have cleared NET or possess a Ph.D. as per UGC standards.
Screening & Selection Criteria Highlights
- Assistant Professor Screening: Short-listing is based on a 100-point scale evaluating Graduation (up to 21 marks), Post-Graduation (up to 25 marks), M.Phil./M.Tech./LLM (up to 7 marks), Ph.D. (25 marks), NET with JRF (10 marks) / NET (8 marks), Research Publications (6 marks), and Teaching Experience (up to 10 marks).
- DPE Selection Scheme: Includes a written test consisting of two parts: Part-I (Concepts, Practices, Rules & Regulations of Universities/Higher Education Authorities – 30 questions / 120 marks) and Part-II (Domain Knowledge of Sports & Sports Coaching – 70 questions / 280 marks) totalling 400 marks.
- Assistant Professor Assessment Stage: Shortlisted candidates undergo a first-stage assessment by a Presentation Assessment Committee evaluating writing skills, communication, and teaching passion, followed by a final interview by the Selection Committee.
