The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has invited online applications under a Special Recruitment Drive (SRD) from Indian nationals belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and PwD) possessing excellent academic backgrounds, a commitment to top-quality teaching, and proven credentials for carrying out outstanding research for Assistant Professor Grade-I / Grade-II positions in various academic Schools and Centers of the Institute.
- Positions: Assistant Professor Grade-I / Grade-II
- Eligible Categories: SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and PwD
- Pay Structure (7th CPC): Starting Basic Pay Range: ₹84,700/- to ₹1,01,500/- (fixed based on relevant post-Ph.D. experience)

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in the appropriate branch/discipline and first class in the preceding degree with a very good academic record throughout. Fresh Ph.D. degree holders may apply.
- Experience: Post-Ph.D. experience is considered in the form of relevant industrial, research, or teaching experience (excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D.).
