Applications are invited for two positions of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and one position of Young Professional-I on a purely contractual basis under the National Mission on High Yielding Seeds (NMHYS) in Pigeonpea (12-289F). Candidates are required to bring the duly filled and signed application form along with original copies of educational and other relevant documents, and one set of self-attested photocopies for verification at the time of interview. If any candidate is found to have submitted false claims at a later stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected.

Position Details
- Post 1: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- Number of Posts: Two
- Emoluments: ₹37,000 + HRA/month for 1st and 2nd year; ₹42,000 + HRA/month for 3rd year, as applicable under ICAR norms.
- Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology with 4/5 years bachelor’s degree. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or a Ph.D. in any of the above disciplines as prescribed under ICAR guidelines.
- Desirable Qualification: Experience in Molecular Breeding, molecular breeding, biotechnology, and proficiency in computer application.

- Project Component: Pigeonpea Component (Project Code: 12-289F)
- Number of Posts: One
- Emoluments: ₹30,000/month (fixed); no HRA.
- Essential Qualification: Graduation degree in Agricultural Science or Diploma in Agricultural Sciences / Life Sciences and Equivalent and as per ICAR rule from a recognized university.
- Desirable Qualification: Working knowledge of computer and MS Office or Hands on experience of working on Molecular markers/Emasculation and pollination work.
Terms & Conditions for SRF
- Age Limit: Maximum age is 35 years for SRF (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).
- Contract Duration: The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis initially up to 31st March 2027, extendable till the termination of the project subject to satisfactory performance.
- Appointment Terms: The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
- Interview Schedule: The interview of eligible candidates will be held according to the schedule given above.
- Required Documentation: The candidates will have to compulsorily bring the filled-in application form (as per the format annexed), all the original certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, degree certificate/original/provisional and one set of self-attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph pasted onto the application form. Proof of experience and publications also need to be submitted.
- Selection Rule: Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
