2. About the Workshop

Join us for an intensive, five-day workshop designed to seamlessly integrate theoretical foundations with practical, applied demonstrations and hands-on tutorials for spatial statistics. The class size is capped at a maximum of 20 students, and a screening procedure will be used for selection.

3. Target Audience & Prerequisites

This workshop is ideal for PhD students, postdocs, early career faculty, and advanced master’s students with a background in Statistics or Data Science.

Academic Prerequisites: Completed introductory courses in Probability and Statistics.
Technical Requirements: Some prior programming experience, specifically with familiarity in R or Python. A personal laptop is required for the afternoon tutorial sessions.

The program follows a structured daily routine:

10:15 AM – 1:30 PM: The morning session features 3 1-hour long lectures (with breaks) on related topics in spatial statistics covering theory and application.
1:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Lunch break.
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: The afternoon session is dedicated time for participants to work out practical in-class tutorials.
