2. About the Position
Pondicherry University has announced a Walk-in-Interview for the post of Guest Faculty (1 UR) in the Department of Electronic Media and Mass Communication, School of Media and Communication. The position is purely temporary for the Academic Year 2026-27. Eligible candidates are invited to send a soft copy of their resume by 1st October 2026 and appear for the walk-in-interview on 5th October 2026.
3. Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications:
- Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in Electronic Media/Mass Communication or in a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Eligibility Test:
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
- Master’s degree holders in disciplines where national tests like UGC NET or CSIR NET are not conducted are exempt from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.
- Desirable Qualification:
- Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferable.
