Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal has invited applications from eligible candidates for engagement to faculty and professional positions on a contractual basis under Advertisement No. CAU/Reg/126/Apptt-A/98/(Pt.)/
- Professor (Vegetable Science): 01 Post (UR) | Location: College of Horticulture, Bermiok, Sikkim | Remuneration: Rs. 82,500/- per month
- Consultant (Finance): 01 Post (Unreserved) | Location: CAU Headquarters, Imphal | Remuneration: Rs. 82,500/- per month
- Period of Contract: 01 Year (Initial appointment can be extended further based on performance and university requirements)
- Age Limit: Preferably below 68 years for Professor and below 63 years for Consultant (Finance)

Essential Qualifications & Criteria
- Professor (Vegetable Science): Indian National holding a Ph.D. in Vegetable Science with 10 years of regular experience in the rank of Professor/equivalent at Pay Level-14 and above in Public Sector, Agricultural Universities, or Research Institutions. Preference is given to candidates with strong experience in planning and executing research and extension activities.
- Consultant (Finance): Chartered Accountant / ICWA, OR Postgraduate in Commerce / MBA (Finance) with SAS examination passed (conducted by CAG/State Finance Dept/ICAR), along with Group-A supervisory experience in financial management, including 3 years of experience as Finance/Accounts Officer in a Government office, PSU, or University.
Selection Process & Interview Guidelines
- Only short-listed candidates will be called for the interview.
- The date, time, and venue of the interview will be communicated directly via the interview call letter.
- Candidates must make their own travel arrangements; no TA/DA will be paid by the University to attend the interview.
