2. Project & Position Details
Applications are invited from suitable bonafide Indian citizens for the position of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) tenable at CSIR-CGCRI, Kolkata under the sponsored project details below:
- Project No.: GAP-0188
- Sponsoring Agency: DRDO Industry Academia – Centre of Excellence (DIA-CoE), IIT Delhi
- Project Title: “Specialty Fiber and related Components for 2 Kw Narrow Linewidth Fibre Laser (SFCNLFL)”
- Tenure: Initially for 1 Year, extendable till the project completion subject to satisfactory performance.
- Stipend: ₹37,000/- + HRA (as permissible) per month for CSIR-UGC NET or GATE qualified candidates, OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DST/DBT or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.
3. Qualification & Age Criteria
Essential Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Chemistry (Physical / Inorganic) or Nanoscience with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/ DGPA.
- OR B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Material Science or equivalent with at least 1st Class.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to candidates having a 1st class degree and research experience in the field of Glass Science / Speciality Optical Preform / Fiber fabrication process along with Rare-earth (RE) doped materials.
Age Limit:
- Upper Age Limit: 30 Years (As on date of interview)
- Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped and Female candidates; 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy layer) candidates.
