Walk-in Interview Notice for SRF and Young Professional-II Positions

ICAR-Indian Institute of Rapeseed-Mustard Research (IIMR), Sewar, Bharatpur has invited applications for purely temporary / ad-hoc & co-terminous positions under various NMHYS projects. Eligible and interested candidates may attend the walk-in interview.
- Position Types: Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and Young Professional-II (YP-II)
- Nature of Engagement: Purely temporary / ad-hoc & co-terminus (number of positions can be increased or decreased)
- Remuneration:
- SRF: ₹37,000/- + HRA per month for the first two years and ₹42,000/- + HRA per month for the third year.
- Young Professional-II: ₹42,000/- per month (Fixed), no HRA.
Positions and Essential Qualifications
- 1. Sr. Research Fellow (SRF) (01 Post – Project: Climate-resilient high-yielding Indian mustard hybrids): Master’s degree in Plant Breeding / Genetics / Genetics and Plant Breeding / Biotechnology / Agril. Biotechnology with 4/5 years Bachelor’s degree OR Post-graduate degree in relevant basic sciences with 3 year Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree with NET qualification OR Ph.D. degree in relevant subject. (Desirable: Knowledge of software application, laboratory equipment experience, and Rapeseed-Mustard Research).
- 2. Young Professional-II (02 Posts – Project: Insulating Indian mustard from abiotic/biotic stresses): M.Sc. degree in Genetics & Plant Breeding / Biotechnology / allied disciplines of Life Sciences from a recognized University. (Desirable: Experience in field/lab experimentations, molecular biology related work).
- 3. Young Professional-II (01 Post – Project: Herbicide tolerance in Indian mustard for broomrape management): Master’s degree in Agronomy from a recognized University. (Desirable: Experience in weed management in field crops, computer applications, data analysis & report writing).
- 4. Young Professional-II (01 Post – Project: Objectives of Sr. No. 2 and 03): Postgraduate degree in Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Genetics, Plant Breeding, or Genetics and Plant Breeding from a recognized university/institution. (Desirable: Experience in gene/QTL mapping, plant molecular biology, molecular marker analysis/genotyping, data collection/management, statistical analysis, speed breeding, and bioinformatics).

- September 18, 2026 at 09:00 AM (for YP-II under Sr. No. 3 & 4)

How to Attend & Instructions
- Candidates must bring all original certificates, degrees, marksheets, and supporting documents along with one set of photocopies and two passport-size photographs.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Candidates will not have any claim for regular appointment in this institute. The decision of the Director will be final and binding.
