IIT Ropar Recruitment 2026: Project Positions for Advanced Antenna Systems Research
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for project positions under the MeitY funded project “Advanced Antenna Systems Research (Intelligent Wireless-Actuated Beamforming Antenna Array System for Non-Terrestrial Networks)” on a purely temporary basis for a period of three years.
1. JRF / Project Associate-I (5 Posts)
Monthly Salary:
Rs. 37,000 + 9% HRA (Applicants without GATE may be considered with lower emoluments as per Institute rules)

Qualification:
B.Tech/B.E./MSc or M.Tech./M.E./M.S. in Electrical Engineering/Electronics and Communication Engineering/Computer Science or similar field or equivalent qualification with 60% marks (or 6 grade points out of 10). Valid GATE score or other National Eligibility Tests required.
Desirable Skills:
Antenna Design, Simulation, HFSS, CST, Wireless Communication, optimization, Machine Learning/AI, Python, MATLAB, coding, Digital Twin, Hardware development, testing.
2. PostDoc / Research Associate III (2 Posts)
Monthly Salary:
Rs. 67,000 + 9% HRA
Last Date to Apply:
31 July 2026
Qualification:
PhD/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal. (Note: PhD thesis submitted candidates can also apply)
Desirable Skills:
Antenna and Microwave Engineering / Wireless Communications / AI-ML.
3. Project Assistant / Field Assistant / Field Worker (2 Posts)
Monthly Salary:
Rs. 24,000 + 9% HRA
Last Date to Apply:
31 July 2026
Qualification:
Graduate degree in any discipline.
Desirable Skills:
Field Data Collection, Experimental Setup, Equipment handling, Reporting, computers works, driving vehicle with a valid licence.
Project Duration & Details
- Duration: For a period of three years.
- Project Closure: The position will end with the closure of the project.
