Minimum Qualifications & Eligibility
- Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Philosophy with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade).
- NET/SET/SLET shall be the minimum criteria for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor for all Higher Education Institutions, in accordance with UGC Regulations-2023.
- Desirable Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Philosophy.
- Teaching and Research experience in the subject.
- Publications in relevant peer-reviewed journals.
- Able to manage workload in both Indian and Western Philosophies.
Remuneration / Honorarium
- Honorarium of Rs. 1,500/- per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month.

Instructions for Applicants
- The appointment will be purely temporary. The engagement of the selected guest faculty shall be till the appointment of regular faculty or till the end of the academic year, as per the Academic Calendar, whichever is earlier.
- Interested eligible candidates may send the scanned soft copies of their original certificates (including educational qualifications, experience certificates if applicable, testimonials, a recent passport-size photo, and a signed up-to-date CV) to the email ID head.phi@pondiuni.ac.in on or before 31st August 2026, Monday, to confirm their participation in the interview process.
- Candidates currently should not be receiving any other scholarship/fellowship.
- No separate intimation will be sent, and no TA/DA will be paid.
