About the Project

Applications are invited from eligible candidates to work in the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) sponsored research project entitled “Sustainable and translational biorefinery approach using solar photovoltaics and pulsed electric/magnetic field for valorizing cyanobacterial/microalgal biomass” for a period of two years, under the supervision of Dr. G. Muralitharan, Professor, Department of Microbiology, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli – 620 024.

Positions & Qualifications

  • Research Associate-II (01 No.): Ph.D. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Life Sciences or equivalent. Essential experience includes 3 years of cyanobacterial/microalgal R&D and publications. Emoluments: Rs. 61,000/- + 18% HRA = Rs. 71,980/- pm.
  • Project Associate-I (01 No.): M.Sc. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Life Sciences or equivalent. Experience in isolation, cultivation, and mass cultivation preferred. Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- + 18% HRA = Rs. 29,500/- pm.
  • Project Assistant (01 No.): B.Tech / M.Tech Biotechnology / Integrated Biotechnology / B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Botany / Zoology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Any life sciences degree. Experience in culture purification and maintenance preferred. Emoluments: Rs. 20,000/- + 18% HRA = Rs. 23,600/- pm.
