About the University
Establishment & Background: I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) was established on January 16, 1997, by an Act of the Punjab State Legislature as Punjab Technical University. It was later renamed in 2015 in honor of the former Prime Minister of India, Late Sh. Inder Kumar Gujral.
Recognition & Affiliation: Recognized by the UGC and approved by statutory bodies like AICTE, PCI, COA, and AIU, the university manages a vast network of affiliated engineering, management, architecture, and pharmacy colleges across Punjab.
Campuses & Infrastructure: The university operates through its main campus situated along the Jalandhar-Kapurthala Highway in Kapurthala (spread across over 78 acres), alongside multiple regional constituent campuses including Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali-I, Mohali-II, and Batala. It features a rich multi-story central library, advanced labs, on-campus hostels, and a dedicated Training and Placement Cell.
About the Position
Guest faculty are required purely on a credit hour basis for the Academic session 2026-2027 (semester commencing from July-2026) in various disciplines for the Main campus and other constituent campuses (Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali-I, Mohali-II, and Batala) of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University.
