Temporary Contractual Post | DBT-NE Funded Project

A walk-in interview will be held for the following temporary contractual post under the DBT-NE (Department of Biotechnology), Government of India funded project entitled: “Deciphering the nutritional and nutraceutical potential of Naga fermented soybean Axone/Akhuni for development of value-added products.” (Duration of Project: 3 years)

₹37,000/- + HRA per month for candidates qualified through NET/GATE or any National Eligibility Test (as per DST/DBT OM No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26.06.2022) Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. or M.Tech (including Integrated M.Tech 4+2) in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Plant Biochemistry/ Life Sciences/ Food Science or relevant discipline from a recognized university. NET/GATE not mandatory.

Desirable: Experience in food biochemistry, extrusion/functional analysis, biochemical techniques etc.

Age Limit & General Instructions

  • Age Limit: Maximum 35 years for Project Associate-I (Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST/Women candidates as per Government of India rules).
  • Reporting Venue & Time: Division of Biochemistry, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa Campus, New Delhi 110 012, on 17th August, 2026 at 09:30 A.M. The time for interview will be allotted separately to each candidate after verifying the certificate.
  • NOC: No objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer is required, if working.
  • Documents Required: Bio-data as per the format given in Annexure-I should be submitted along with self-attested copies of certificates and mark sheets of 10th, 12th, Under-graduation, Post-graduation (M.Sc./M.Tech) and any other relevant certificates (experience/NET/GATE/BET, if applicable). Candidates should affix a recent passport-size photograph on the bio-data.
